Beware! Caritas Health Sheild Scam!

This is to warn you about the so called SCAM of the Caritas Health Sheild representatives.

This scam has been around for so many years now and they still keep on practicing it until now (2017). In spite of so many cases filed to them, they are still operational since the scam is committed allegedly by Caritas Health Sheild representatives and not by the company itself. They keep on doing it simply because we Filipinos are trusting and when it come's to health specially for us and for our love ones, we can easily be tricked so I advised you to have your self, your friends and relatives be informed to battle this kind of fraud.

Their usual strategy goes like this:

1. They will send you a text or even give you a call informing that you were selected among the few to receive benefits from Caritas ("freebies" and or "free health card") and need to claim it in their office. In addition to that, they would also ask you to bring your valid IDs, Credit Card, etc.

2. Once you drop by to their office, they will let you talk to their representatives/agents to discuss regarding their health insurance before giving you the "freebies" which really are not worth-it.

3. They'll discuss with you all their insurance plan (which is obviously the main purpose of all the texts and calls you received), and will convince you so by making "tricky words" and irresistible insurance package for you to swipe your credit card "at once" to avail their so called promo... Once you swipe your credit card with the insurance plan, that's it! You're done. If for example they assure you before you swipe your card that you can cancel your credit card payment any time within the week, they will deny it straight in your face specially if there is no written/signed agreement for this matter.

A successful swipe of your credit card means another successful modus operandi for them. Note that you cannot claim a refund of your money once you are billed. It is their legal way of committing fraud so to speak. They already studied all the legalities and you cannot win even if you file a complaint about this issue.

When trapped in this situation, please do have a black and white agreement for "every" transaction with them. Ask for the copy of the insurance package they discussed with you because most of these tempting packages are not included in the final copy of your insurance policy plan. So sad that Doctors consultation fee are also not included in this package. Bottom-line is: Don't ever swipe your card or involve any transactions concerning money.

To save your precious time and effort and to avoid being fooled by this SCAM, what we can do right now is to ignore all their annoying messages and calls and inform others as much as we can about this fraud.

  10. Please beware! They called me saying they are from GLOBE and my number was electronically raffled and won a health card and that they will just text me the details on where i can claim it. They texted me details of this company "CARITAS HEALTH SHIELD, INC." So i called GLOBE and inquired about this. GLOBE said they are not in any way connected to this company. They have actually been texting and calling me from time to time pero this time, ginamit na talaga nila ang GLOBE. Grabe!! SCAMMER talaga!!!

    1. Like everybody else, I received several messages and persistent calls from their staffs.

I believe everybody has the right to know another perspective about this issue.

Finally, just this January 25, 2014, when I had the time and opportunity to claim my "medical card" I dropped by their office.

At first I was reluctant to get inside, but their officers are just so pleasing, they finally convinced me to sit down with them. It was explained to my how they got my number, why I was chosen, and where I could use the card. After that she asked if its okay with me if she presents the latest product of Caritas. (Of course, saying no is totally impolite) so to cut the story short, they hit my button and convinced me to save for my family's future.(Loving my wife and kiddo is my life.)

When I got home and told my wife my "misadventure" in caritas, I was surprised that she did not make any violent reactions, she just smiled at me instead. She just smiled. It made me so happy about my decision that it made me transfer my benefits to hers.

March 1, 2013 we received the health card of my wife. And talk about déjà vu, a day after we received the health card, she was slipped and hit her head in the bathroom floor leaving her unconscious. (you wouldn't want to know the details) and heck! I was in the office!

I just found out when I received a call from our helper that my wife is rushed to St. Agnes. I was so worried and I could not focus on the training I am conducting. ( Obviously, I can't freak out in front of my trainees)

I was just somehow made calm when they passed the phone to a caritas representative, in short, everything was well taken care of.

Imagine if I turned down the offer?
If I ignored their phone calls?
If I just walked-out of their office?

I always teach my trainees that everything has it's purpose, and that there is a purpose in everything.

Probably, I was just given a much broader mind about expressing my love for my family.

Yes, there is beyond gifts, flowers, sweets and clothes that you can give your loved ones..

I am just so thankful to caritas they made me realize it earlier.

Sometimes, it takes a complete stranger to let you realize how important one thing is. (Filipinos are fond to this, that's why they keep on calling radios to ask for pieces of advice and stuff) sometimes you become so used to it that you unconsciously take it for granted.

I would understand if the author would delete my comment, because my comment totally deviates to the purpose of this website, but then again, I believe everybody has the right to have a little sneak peek about this issue, in another man's perspective.

By the way, I bought another plan for myself and my kiddo yesterday. (Too bad he's below 18, so he's not insurable)

So if you received the same calls or messages as mine, I suggest you go right ahead for it. After all, as I quote from Madam Eleonor Roosevelt, "Nobody can make you inferior without your consent."

Just be square, let them do their jobs. The decision will still lie in your hands.

Live life. Laugh often. Love life and love often.

    2. - I don't think so. Hoax, lies etc.. are always there to influence the decisions of innocent people. No wonder we called it scam!

      - We all know the benefit of Insurance.

      - I'd rather get an INSURANCE to a company that has "INTEGRITY", "CREDIBILITY" and most of all is "RELIABLE".

"Live life. Laugh often. Love life and love often - without taking advantage of other people."

PS. I've been expecting this kind of comment and has no plan of removing it.

    3. Good day!
thank you for this info iskibiel. I got a text msg.from them many times but i ignored them because i know they are lying. they said that i have a GC from them worth 10,280.00 voucher and benefits and i have to claim it ASAP (they text me april 6,2013)in their office (Manila Bankers Life Corp.)and should bring 3 valid id's(company id, government id and bank id master/visa card) and look for ms. andrea Lee.(told me that i have no financial obligation, but why should i bring my bank id's?....what heck!!!)the second text was sent to me april 25 saying I am entitled for a free "family medical benefits V.I.P. card & 6,800.00 GC and the last is today (april 26)and again I have to claim it TODAY and look for ms.Andi Samonte.

again, thank you for this info.

    4. The problem is not that they give you insurance (if they really even do that and this comment is valid). The problem is that they clearly don't respect your privacy and appropriate marketing methods. It is NOT ethical to grab lists of phone numbers of individuals who did not AGREE to give them away. Great if you had a good experience with them, but there are lots of other insurance companies that are more deserving of your trust and your money. I wonder if you even compared their insurance plans to others. So yeah, your comment is harmful.

  14. Hi,
I don't know if this will make or break what I did today. I got those sms' also. At first I ignored them due to the fact that I didn't apply nor wrote anything or signed anything for a raffle or what not. Yesterday I gave them a call. I talked to SELENE WONG with number 09268902420 - not sure though if that is her real number. I asked her if what is the sms all about. She explained it in a way that you will be interested. She said about the coverage and benefits of the card. then I asked, "Ms. Selene, by sending and explaining those, of course, you'll ask something in return because there is no such thing as random selection, or being sponsored without an application." then she said I should not worry about giving them money. I was kinda thinking that it was a promotion then after such you will be paying them every month but she said it is not. It is totally free and that I can add up to five beneficiaries. primary and secondary. I agreed to get the card just to get out of the conversation but at the back of my mind I said I wont go.
They sent me a code to present to claim the card.
I decided to go to their office today, March 7. 2013, to see and know exactly what she was saying.
I saw a lot of people claiming their cards. But what I noticed was, when I asked to see SELENE WONG, I was entertained by another person. Doubt began to hit my mind. As I was observing them, I saw a lady who checked my name at the reception area coz i called her up saying i was there and was expecting i will talk to her since she looks like a person with a WONG last name. then to my surprise i gay called me and he said he will be assisting me.
doubt began to grew..he was speaking so fast that i can not follow what he was saying because some of his words was eaten..then i told him..before i will fill out the paper, i will ask him several questions..he did answer them but not in a professional way..
anyway, i still got the card. I did not use any credit card nor gave them any money.
then i called my mum. told her what i did today and what she said is it is a scam. Check it online. That's what i did today and got this blog.
Now Im not sure if i'll put it into test.

  18. As far I I know, the office of Caritas Health Shield is in E. Rodriguez in front of PCSO. I went there yesterday for a seminar. And as far as I remember, text messages like that are not really honored in Caritas. My parents have been members of Caritas for 6 years or so and we have been a recipient of the benefits they get from this health insurance. Believe me, I am very sickly, I go to the hospital on a daily basis before, and my consultations are costly, but because of Caritas, we pay less. And maybe there are those people who use the name of Caritas for scam. Just be very picky with who you talk to. Know the details. Dont just say yes to everything they say. Actually, I really like their plans, again. Just talk to the right agents. :) Dont generalize. God bless.

    1. I wonder why the Caritas Health Shield Management doesn’t look into this considering that the SCAM has been around for several years now. These DESPERATE AGENTS can enroll a successful Health Insurance Policy plan and can issue official receipts, certificates etc… which might also imply that they are legit employees or “contractors” of Caritas Health Shield.

They should have worked this out from the start if they don't want to get tagged with that bad impression.

Please also note that we don’t disregard the value of having a “good” Health Insurance benefits. What we really are trying to achieve is to warn our friends and relatives being fooled by this DESPERATE MARKETING STRATEGY (e.g. free medical privilege card, gift cert, etc.) and save their precious time being wasted. We also want to share with everyone all our bad experiences with this SCAM to avoid pitfalls without the notion to generalize.

There are much better and more reliable Insurance Companies out there to discuss with... however, this blog is not the right venue for that.

  27. if you received a text message informing you about free blah blah blah, not only caritas company is doing that strategy. just expect na may iooffer sila sa inyo na product. di nman sila gumastos sa load para walang makuha in return. "COMMON SENSE WILL TELL YOU THAT"

now this blog is good in a sense na na-aaware nila ang tao what to do. pero the attached image above is somewhat an "agreement" mukhang pumirma ka ata sir at binura lng heheh, so kung ikaw blogger ang so called "nabiktima" alam mo na, heheheh, ikaw mismo hinayaan mo sarili mo "pumirma", i'm sure nsa tamang edad ka at may kakayanang makaalam ng tama sa mali. basa basa rin kasi pagmay time ng contract.

if pipirma ka ng any agreement, be responsible sa mga bagay na gagawin mo next time. kawawa din kasi yung company kung magegeneralize na scammer. ilang libong pamilya ang umaasa sa pagaahente sa caritas or sa ibang insurance. ang text blast ay isa lng sa paraan nila para magmarket. kailangan lng natin lhat magbasa ng pipirmahan kung ok b talaga or hindi.

    Here are my points
    1. Caritas doesn't allowed text blasting, kaso gaya mo, a random guy hindi ka rin nmin kakilala,i can only surmise na irate ka kasi feeling mo naisahan ka, heheh. then gumawa ka ng blog. similar sa mga texters na yan. gumagamit sila ng aliases. mahirap sa caritas magimplement nyan na maimonitor. logic po paminsan minsan.

    2. Wala na pong libre "lahat may kapalit", maging matalino sana tayo na ginawala nila yun to lure you sa lair nila. in a controlled environment na pwede ka talaga nilamacorner at mabenthan. So if that happens, "BASA BASA RIN NG CONTRACT BAGO PUMIRMA" ang funny kasi, nabasa ko ung attached image, may tagalog version pa under nung engish.. sorry sa word ko ha, pero kung mahina tayo sa english may tagalog nman.

    3. sabi nila "experienced is the best teacher "thank you blogger sa experienced mo dahil dito alam n nmin ang gagawin nmin kung mangyari sa amin eto"

    1. Your Points:
      1. According to to you, Lord Owen: “if you received a text message informing you about free blah blah blah, not only caritas company is doing that strategy” and later you point out that “Caritas doesn’t allow text blasting” (it seems contradicting…)
      - That’s the exact reason why Caritas Health Shield is one of the Insurance Company in my humble opinion with negative reputation and credibility. If they want to regain it, then they need to do something. Note that some of our fellow bloggers posted in their comments “THE EXACT OFFICE ADDRESS” of this “DESPERATE AGENTS” and yet you’re saying it’s hard for Caritas to trace or implement such actions? There are already lots of complaints that are logged in their office and I believe this issue is not new to them. If you are one of the “nice” agents working for CARITAS being affected with the negative impact it brings, then push the issue to them rather than blaming it to this blog. The BLOG is made to WARN other potential victim nothing more.

For your points 2 and 3:
      2. Wala na pong libre "lahat may kapalit", maging matalino sana tayo na ginawala nila yun to lure you sa lair nila. in a controlled environment na pwede ka talaga nilamacorner at mabenthan. So if that happens, "BASA BASA RIN NG CONTRACT BAGO PUMIRMA" ang funny kasi, nabasa ko ung attached image, may tagalog version pa under nung engish.. sorry sa word ko ha, pero kung mahina tayo sa english may tagalog nman.

      3. sabi nila "experienced is the best teacher "thank you blogger sa experienced mo dahil dito alam n nmin ang gagawin nmin kung mangyari sa amin eto"

      - That’s the mere purpose of this blog. “To MAKE PEOPLE AWARE of this SCAM” and to support that, we need to have proof from the victim (see attached image from this blog.). Actually, you don’t have to put all the blame on the victim’s fault because SCAM has all its DIRTY TRICKS to catch their prey and we can’t just conclude why they end up signing the contract. This is not a “funny” issue. RESPECT if you are an educated one. Don’t take it too personal dwelling the topic to me. (You’re the one who sounds “irate” for reasons I don’t know.) In fact, I still receive email attachments from complainants who were fooled by this SCAM and we have to respect them. So instead of bashing or making sarcastic comments, let’s just SPREAD THE WORD and HELP OTHERS to not fall from these strategies.

  35. Hi! I kept on receiving messages from them. The feeling is pressure. They are pressuring me to get this health card. Today, a certain MR. MARK SAN JOSE..texted me (09058399520) saying.." Kindly spare time to claim it today to avoid forfeiture.." - Whatta! I'm already confused and asked myself..Do i have to go there? Did I apply for this in anyway?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I can't really blame Lord Arwen if he's reacting that way because maybe he's one of those FEW employee who are working honestly in the company. I think its unfair na kasalanan nung isa, dalawa, tatlo o lima eh kasalanan na ng buong company.. They might be taking actions but with due process.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well, actually you can go and get their freebies. But don't you ever ever ever be convinced by them to buy their health insurance! My family and I are policy holders of Caritas for five years already and WE WERE NEVER NEVER SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE! Maiinis lang kayo!! Out of five years, we just used our CAritas cards/insurance five times lang yata kasi you'll be irritated by their system and their customer service "kuno"! We got our policies just to help a relative, pero grabe ang regret namin! SO LET THIS BE A WARNING..

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hi Eros, please keep in mind na yung company issues na sinasabi mo is an internal matter and has nothing to do with us. They have to settle it themselves otherwise they'll face this kind of consequences like what is happening now.

  41. Caritas is a legit company, even registered sa Insurance Commission. I went there when I received a text message from them. I got the free card, which is good kasi mababa tlaga rates nila sa clinics nila compared sa ibang clinics kahit hindi ka member, then with their card, you can get discounts pa. Kaso, it's true din na may kakausap sau and I must say, they're really good. Pero yung ginawa ko, although I am really planning to get one for myself because my father is a policy holder for almost 9 years now and we're satisfied naman, hindi ako kumuha kasi ayokong i-card. Pwede namang tumanggi.

Yes, wag nating i-generalize yung case. And I don't really think it' a scam kasi you have your plan naman. And for those agents na gumagawa nito, well, tama kayo, para-paraan nga naman.

And also, there are employees out there and agents who really honest. Madami naman din sila. So sana, again, wag nating i-general.

And as for the company, it's a legit company and even registered with the Insurance Commission meaning regulated sila and they have enough funds to support their plan holders.

My family are plan holders and we're actually satisfied with it.

modus operandi of these Caritas agents isn't a SCAM?

And by the way, this blog wont allow you to post health insurance advertisements for your own gain, thus making it irrelevant to the topic.
As such, to maintain the blog green, your comment will be removed.

SICK AND TIRED because of their process at the same time!(Compare to other health cards that you will go right away to preferred accredited hospital to get a check up) eto ang health card na bawal magkasakit kasi mabbwisit ka lang sa proseso nila. 79. I am glad I found this BLOG. Thank you to the author of this. I want to share also a bit of my story. I also received a call from them yesterday. The woman on the other end is polite and really knows how to convince. Story went on and I told them I have been unemployed since 2010 after I went home from abroad to have a surgery operation here. Financially I mentioned I am at a brink of bankrupt just to let them know that I am not capable of paying anything. At the back of my mind I was wondering how they got my number and complete name when they called me that day. They told me it is from a referral. From there I surmised maybe during my active volunteering here on government relief operations, ( We sign in our names and contact numbers there I remember) - some good Samaritan maybe offered my name on this Caritas Health Organization in good faith. I was thinking blindly ,maybe it is a Charity Organization that is why it is free. But at the back of my mind I smell something fishy. The phone call lasted long. In the end I told her I am broke and I will just borrow /raise my fare just to go to Manila to claim it. She didn't even stop me from going even if you tell them you will pawn your wedding ring to go there. They are really determined to get what they want regardless of what the unfair circumstances you have to go through. address: #100 Carlos Palanca St., corner Dela RosaSt., Legaspi Village Makati City ( Beside Mang Inasal and back of BPI Main Bldg.) using this number 09062530234. I am from Nueva Ecija. I can't imagine going to Manila and end up to know there is a catch to this Free Caritas Card they offer. They should change their strategy scheme. It is just plain unfair that Caritas agents are using this ‘technicality’ on how to market that they bend and go around government regulations on proper marketing. Kudos to all. No show tomorrow. Thank you iskibiel your blog really helps. Also try to read this article from a 53 year old Caritas Health Shield Plan holder who is denied of his health benefits and even aired his HMO complaint online to the DOH director to help him get his money back. Anyways, here is his blog . http://againsthmo.blogspot.com/ .To Caritas agents/staff/ employees who also post on this page to react and protect the company they work for?!? Here is my stand. I am not against Caritas. I AM JUST AGAINTS THE METHOD YOU EMPLOY TO LURE IN PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS. Don't blame people to brand you as scammers. They just air what is blunt and obvious on what is practiced. Do you still sleep well at night? Good night to all.

  80. I will definitely share this. I have received a lot of calls and text from this group even if I told them that i was not interested. And by the way, they are NOT in any way CONNECTED to Caritas Manila. Thank you for writing this blog.

  81. Actually, Caritas Health Shield is a legit company but there are these unethical agents from Metro Manila doing these type of scam. I really feel bad that this happening because this company has helped my family a lot during times of health emergencies. I suggest that you get it from a trusted health counselor/ agent and not anybody who randomly texts you.

  82. I was texted by ms. Althea tan... i called their landline # and i talked to a gay saying he's in his lunch time. He asked for my name. He mixed up saying my name as althea's... from there i had thia feeling that this might be a scam. I didn't think of it that way because i have talked to two employees of caritas in e.rodeiguez as they were my customers in my shop just two blocks away from caritas main office. This gay who claimed his name is mr. Viron wong advised that i will get the free card with lifetime membership because i was referred by someone. I just realized it is really unreal because back then those caritas employees only offered me 5 years renewable health benefits... this is a scam. Thanks for this blog. I would have gone there today if hadn't tought about checking online further details about it. Those are their new aliases althea tan and viron wong. Same office address in makati.

  83. Three days ago, my wife received a phone call from a Caritas representative, namely Diosa Santos, introducing herself as "manager and medical coordinator" for this company. Conversation was of the same pattern as all those already described above, Mrs Santos insisting on glittering freebies and trying to convince my wife to pass at the office to avail them, bringing along an ID and, more surprisingly for something that is supposed to be free, a credit card. My wife and I do not hold any credit card, which anyway didn't deter Mrs. Santos. We immediately got suspicious, so my wife didn't show up at Caritas' offices to pick up the card that was promised to her. During the following three days we were regularly assailed by constant phone calls and text messages from Caritas on our land lines and cell phones, at home and work (yes, my wife in an unfortunate first move gave them all). I then checked on the internet and found this blog - thanks to all! My wife then decided to call back Mrs. Santos and share a few of yours comments with her... Hopefully we'll have peace now!

Good for them that Caritas is a dully registered company, but unfortunately, with the almost complete impunity that scams enjoy in our country, this is in no way a guarantee of honesty. From the general tone of the comments above, the very poor service and the methods used by many, if not all, of their personnel mean that, even if the word "scam" would be inappropriate, Caritas would still be a company to avoid.

  86. Good thing I didn't go to the Makati address everyone else has mentioned just so they will stop bugging me. I got their first SMS last year and just ignored it. This year it was calls AND texts. They are mightily persistent like ants and roaches...

I got insurance plan coverage from Caritas but I never had to pick anything up, show up somewhere or even present 3 (yes, I couldn't believe it, 3!) VALID IDs to get it. It just arrived in the mail. When I asked how they got my information, it was all above the board and nothing fishy. But these people, they're something else!

I pray that these people will get what they deserve. This stuff would be great material for our local media...just saying it out loud..

I got a text message from a Samanta Cheng a few days after another representative asked if I was already contacted previously for a card (they have, I went and got my card and gift certificate, and listened to the whole thing, but fortunately don't have a credit card). I forgot all the things they told me, I just remember thinking it just wasn't a good fit for me, and yes, like what everyone else was saying here, how they got me in the first place felt iffy/bad/creepy/scammy.

  88. let me share my experience here in caritas.. nagtrabaho po ako dito sa caritas health shield as a tele, ang una po ng yari ay nag ikot sila sa baranggay namin nag pa job fair nung nagtxt na sila saamin for training na kaagad, hindi na po kami kinuhanan ng any requirements. ang office po nila ay dito sa imus cavite. sa unang punta po namin doon pinaliwanag na kaagad samin kung panu ginagawa doon.. syempre baguhan palang aq sa call center excited po ako sav mga mgyayari. nung dinala na po kami sa loob kung saan nandoon ung mga agents disappointed po ako dahil expected ko maayos. like a real call center tlaga, nakita ko ung mga agents doon ang gamit nila ay CELLPHONE at PLDT SIM CARD AND DIRECTORY. nung una pinag observe lang kame mga bagong pasok. napaka ingay sa loob , nag sisigawan kc nawawalan ng signal.. pero nag try parin ako ituloy .. nung una sv samin ng nag hire saamin ang kunin namin ay komisyon dahil malaki daw po ang kikitain na kapag nakapag pasok kame ng client at nabentahan nila ng annual physical exam card 10% nun ay saamin na at every Saturday ang bigayan ng pera. my script din po sila na ibinibigay at un lang ung paulit ulit na ssvhin mo sa tatawagan mong kliyente. ssvhin po na kaya nakuha ung number nila kc "through random selection sa computer, binigay lang ng officer/manager or tru referals galing sa ospital and trusted banks nila. at sinasv din doon sa script na nag ccelebrate ng 18 yr anniversary and maswerte kayo dahil kayo ang napiling tawagan. one week lang po ung tinagal ko doon kc wala pong allowance na binibigay at walang sinasahod kpag walang kliyenteng naipasok na merong CREDIT CARD. totoo po na yung may mga credit card lang yung pinupuntirya ng mga telemarketeers. lahat ng nakasaad dyan sa blog na yan ay totoo.. nung umalis na po ako doon naiwan po ung kaybigan ko nag trabaho doon dahi my naipasok syang kliyente at my komission sia. nung mga nakalipas na araw nag paalam na sia sa manager namin na pag ka kuha nia ng komisyon nia titigil na po sia sa pag pasok. ang ginawa po ng manager namin pinending ung pera na para sa kanya at 7% nlng daw ng komisyon ang ibibigay. hanggang ngaun di na binigay ung pera dahil di na daw papasok ung kaybigan ko.

  89. I received the same text just this morning, telling me the same thing and to look for a certain Justine Sia to claim the free med card. I know its a fraud, so I ignored it right away. In addition to the blog, do no reply to their messages or even answer their calls. Doing so would only give them an idea that someone's number or a prospective victim's number is active so that they could pursue further in their modus.

  90. i was called by caritas to claim my free medical card... at first i do not believe that it is a free. but i go to their office at makati with only 200 pesos..

and when i was there.. yeah they offered me their health service but i refused to them. they didnt bother to insist what they are selling..

after all they give me my medical card.. and i pay nothing.. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING... Its TOTALLY FREE...

Binigyan nila ko ref number to claim the card. Nageexpire raw agad yun kaya kailangan ko kagad pumunta. Then nirefer nga raw ako either ng mga friends or relatives ko. Then asked for my id and bring my credit card as well daw. Napaisip ako. Why should i need to bring my card? Di na ko pumunta after. Two to three times after, same scenario. Tsk tsk

  103. i've been to their makati office to claim the free card. walking distance lang kasi siya from the Enterprise where I do business with USANA kaya when I went there, I had with me products na nasa distinct blue bag ng USANA. the staff were civil enough, but i expected someone will talk to me and explain what Caritas Health Shield is all about given that ang sipag-sipag nila mangulit na mag-claim ng cards sa kanila (my sister and I both received SMSs from various "agents"). wala pa din kasi ako HMO nun kaya interested din ako. they gave me a discount card good for a number of spa and dental services kaso naman anu ba yun, sa manila area lang yun parang local beauty parlor lang. the card was just the laminated board type, hindi yung plastic card na mala-ATM. then when I asked if may kakausapin pa ako kasi during my wait for them to confirm my claim code, napansin ko halos lahat ng tao na dumarating dinadala sa cubicle and kinakausap nang masinsinan, wala na daw. yun lang daw yun. coming from an MLM company, mala- traditional na "network marketing bullying tactics" yung dating sa kin nung ibang nauulinigan kong usapan. hindi na ko nag-insist and just counted myself lucky and left.

i believe namimili din sila ng kakausapin. disente naman yung suot ko nung araw na yun, it must be the USANA bag then; they must have thought na informed na ko sa mga saliwang marketing tactics, hehe (i actually am aware of such & i hate them too). if you are really curious about the services and would like to compare them to similar health plans like Kaiser, try to visit their office sa Paseo dressed in the simplest casual attire you have (w/o jewelries, basta don't give off a "may pambayad" vibe), and don't bring your credit cards.

  118. Whether Caritas Health Shield is a scam or not, the fact that they "strangle" their clients until you are forced to say yes is a big no-no to sales. The principle in sales "The customer is always right" must prevail. They should know that. When the client says no, they should respect that wholeheartedly all in the name of building trust by the client to the company. My biggest worry now is whether i will be charged again in my credit card after three months (i forcibly said yes to their quarterly plan). I'm currently ignoring their follow-up calls and texts. I want peace of mind and might get sick because of Caritas Health Shield.

The same thing with what u experienced, she told me that they are giving me a FREE health card that I need to get in their office near LTO-Imus. I asked her where did she get my contact? She told me it's their 20th anniversary and giving away healthcard and someone referred me as recipient of the said card. Then ended up our talks by giving me my appointment time tomorrow at around 9-10am so I will avoid the line. As soon we ended up the call. I immediately checked the Caritas-Imus, and thank God! I found this one to warn and confirm what was Caritas and it's abvously SCAM! I don't want to fall in their trap to be the next victim, wait til their eyes turn all white tomorrow.

  138. Beware salespeople who promise offers that seem too good to be true. I've had a couple of text messages from Cathy Lopez. Her mobile number is 0925.620.0285. She sent me a text message to verify if I could claim my FREE MEDICAL CARD today or tomorrow.

  141. Around 4pm(today,9/4/15) i was invited personally by these couple( won't name them for now) but they give me a calling card. As i was saying, they invited me to attend a seminar tomorrow afternoon to their office in the 4rth floor of a certain building. And since their approach/little briefing are nice and really tempting so i'm gonna give it a shot tomorrow.... BUT, i won't bring any CC or damn cash (except for my jeepney fare of course).. we'll see what will happen tomorrow... i'll get back here in this blog tomorrow night to share my experience from them, so wish me luck guys... ;-)

  152. Good day! Thank you blogger. Sabi ko wala akong time, busy ako, sabi nya hintay ka muna maam ha itanong ko muna kung pwede next week... yes maam pwede pa next week by tuesday @ 9am-4pm sa 6th floor just look for our releasing manager Mr. William Pepito and just bring with you, your valid id's and bank id's together with your code CHS072889... Talagang doubtful ako, kaya nag background check po ako about CARITAS HEALTH SHIELD and thanks to the blogger nabasa ko isa-isa yong mga comments nila na once makapunta ka sa ofc nila tapos na swipe mo yong any of your bank id's, patay ka... YOU'RE DONE...! Sa mga natawagan o naitext nila, BE AWARE AND BE CAREFUL kung ayaw nyong mabiktima o ma SCAM!!!
